the book thief

The book thief is very interesting because its narrated by death. i never read a book like this one before. The character i choose to write about is Hans Hubermann. Hans was a clean cut guy who did the right thing. Him and his wife Rosa Hubbermann took in a Liesel after her mother left. Leisel  was dealing with her brothers death and the Hubbermanns was there for her. Hans treated her like his own child while Liesel rebelled against Rosa. Liesel was not very educated but Hans would read to her and it helped Liesel alot. Hans Hubbermann was a good person. Hans is thought of as a peron who dont like to get in the mix and to laid back. One thing that Hans faces is not sharing the same views as his son. Hans son is a Nazi, and the views of Hitler is not what Hans Believe in. Hans Hubbermann is one of the few who does not follow the Nazi. He does not like his son to like Hitler but he knows its nothing he can do. I like Hans Hubbermann because he is a good person and a caring one.

  1. I like the way you mentioned the lack of relationship that is occuring between Hans and his son. Although this is a small fraction of the book, I feel for some reason it will total out to being very important in the end of the novel. I envy Hans too because he is a well brought up, clean cut, old fashioned guy who just wants to do the right thing for Liesel.
