My views on GLBT are neutral feeling towards all. I dont judge a person by what they are sexually. I really dont care if what a person got going on in there life. Everyone is equal in my book.
The topics of unit three seems weird because the views are from a gay persons eyes. Usually views on sex are always from a straight persons eyes. Most people think its considered right when a male and a female are together so when a person that like the same sex it becomes weird.
Im a heterosexual male but i dont hate others that are different than i am. I believe all people all different but still should be considered equal. I think its good that we are reading about this topic so that we all can open ours minds and learn more about people.
The video we watch was a crazy one. The lady seemed she needed mental help. Its could to fight for what you believe in but they was doing it in the wrong way. Its not cool to disrespect a funereal with the gay hate and what you believe is wrong doing. She brained washed hair children in believing what she thought.
The heterosexual quiz was different because because it was in a different view.It was like being gay was the norm and heterosexual was the outcast. This unit should be interesting

blog #5
The two books i read was "The Bluest eye" and "American Born Chinese" both books compare with each other very well. In the bluest eye and American Born Chinese deal with people not like who they really are,and they want to make change. The bluest eye Pecola wanted to be light skinned so she will fill better about herself and people would like her. In American Born Chinese Jin thoughtif he could be white he would be a better person.
Both create conversation about cultural identity, race, and privilege. Both books talks about cultural identity by, "The Bluest Eye" saying, blonde hair, blue eyes, and pink skin is successful, beautiful, and privileged and black is ugly. And, "American Born Chinese" says, being a monkey isn't fit for normal, just as being Asian or Chinese isn't good enough or beneath other races. The conversation of race that both books display is that different races don't mesh well, or being different do not go together when trying to have a relationship of some sort. Even if things are going well there's always someone from the outside looking in disapproving. The conversation being held on the topic of privilege is that both books seem to portray being white is the way to go, or is simply the most successful race as well as the most rewarded and powerful.
Both books goes great with theme and relate to power and privilege

blog #4 is rasicm learned
In class we discussed views on rasicm in our lifetime. One question that came up was, do you think racism is learned?. I believe that a person is brought up to hate another person. When we are born we are born not knowing anything. We do not know about problems in the world when we are born. I think the family you are in is a big part of who you are and become. All people should be viewed as equal but history plays a big role in that. So a child will find out about racism even if the child is not taught it.
Unit 2 will be very interesting.

the book thief
The book thief is very interesting because its narrated by death. i never read a book like this one before. The character i choose to write about is Hans Hubermann. Hans was a clean cut guy who did the right thing. Him and his wife Rosa Hubbermann took in a Liesel after her mother left. Leisel was dealing with her brothers death and the Hubbermanns was there for her. Hans treated her like his own child while Liesel rebelled against Rosa. Liesel was not very educated but Hans would read to her and it helped Liesel alot. Hans Hubbermann was a good person. Hans is thought of as a peron who dont like to get in the mix and to laid back. One thing that Hans faces is not sharing the same views as his son. Hans son is a Nazi, and the views of Hitler is not what Hans Believe in. Hans Hubbermann is one of the few who does not follow the Nazi. He does not like his son to like Hitler but he knows its nothing he can do. I like Hans Hubbermann because he is a good person and a caring one.

Blog #2 the comic within in the comic
In the comic prisoner on hell planet by Artie was an interesting one. After reading it it really shows the reader how Artie really felt inside. The comic seem to be based on Artie life and how he thought people felt bout him. The comic also impact Artie farther Vladek too, he broke in to tears when he read the comic. In the comic it showed how Artie was sad inside about being blamed for his mom death. He didnt treat his mom the best and feeling like everyone blamed him that was even harder on Artie.
The comic helps you feel the vibe of the story maus and the relationship between Artie and his family in his own eyes. The images in the comic really expressed how Artie felt about every thing that went on in his life.
